Blackhawk Technical College
The Human Resources Program prepares students to assist small to mid-sized organizations in effectively recruiting, developing, and utilizing their human resources. Students learn how to maximize the human potential for the benefit of the organization. This field of employment requires knowledge and skills in the following areas: occupational job analysis, compensation, benefits, training, staffing, employee relations, safety, and human resources informations systems. Careers such as HR Generalists or HR Specialists can be found in any non-profit, service or manufacturing organization. Human Resource Specialists can focus on areas such as employee recruitment/interviewing, employee training and development, wages and compensation, benefits, employee wellness, and occupational analysis. Students will have an opportunity to prepare for various related certifications such as from the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) and OSHA. Show More

Certificate - Human Resource Specialist
BTC Career Services helps students explore careers, prepare for the job application process and find current opportunities. BTC offers resume writing, mock interviews, job search techniques, and internships, when available.
Blackhawk Technical College provides free tutoring services to credit students enrolled at the college. We offer online, open lab and peer tutoring. Also counseling services are available.

Refunds are processed according to the Wisconsin Technical College System Refund Policy for program, material and activity fees. To receive refunds, you must formally request refunds from Registration and Records by notifying them of your intent to drop a class(es) or completely withdraw from all classes. Requests for refunds must be received during the same term of enrollment. Refund requests are time-sensitive as each day that passes may affect the amount of refund you are eligible.
